Results That Last
I am a professional Dog Trainer with a Big goal. I believe that everyone should be able to live happily with their dogs. This means training should not only be affordable, but have life-long effects. I believe that training dogs saves lives as long as it’s done effectively and gently, going at the dog’s pace and not ours. I only use positive training methods that helps create a close bond with your pet. I believe that gentle handling creates trust and security for our pets, resulting in the best relationship possible.

American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen program
I am registered for the AKC CGC. This program starts puppies with the S.T.A.R. Puppy program. S.T.A.R. Puppy is a 6 week training course that gets you started on the right foot for CGC! Socialization, acceptance of strangers, basic simple commands, and owner responsibility are a few of the things you will learn in this program. The CGC program is much more involved. Simple commands are still required ( like sit, down, stay) but stricter socialization without treats is also required. Supervised separation, accepting a friendly stranger, and reactions to distractions are just a few of this more challenging test. CGC is important because it proves your dog can behave in public places! This can be helpful for neighborhoods with breed restrictions or just grumpy neighbors.
Private Training
Private Training is my most popular service. I have been providing pet parents with personally tailored training for over 10 years! These classes are usually an hour long and you can purchase as many as you want. You pay at the beginning of each class and teach only the material you want to cover for your pet!
Group Classes
Group classes are also an option. I use a curriculum I put together myself, complete with printed out homework to help you practice at home and review for future needs. Group classes consists of a minimum of 3 dogs. There must be one person minimum with each pet, however the entire family is welcome! There are 3 different group classes:1. Beginner training, This class teaches basic beginner obedience. You and your pet will learn basic cues such as sit, down, stay, walking on a loose leash, watch me, drop it, leave it, and will cover how to correct unwanted behaviors, potty training, and crate training.2. CGC training,This class will build off of what was learned in the beginner class but will focus more on what is needed to pass the CGC test. This includes reactions to other dogs and distractions, supervised separation, heel, acceptance of strangers and more challenging cues such as stand, wait, and on your bed.
